Thank you for your interest in including a bequest to The Cairnmillar Institute in your will.

Your bequest will enable us to continue our critical work for those in need in our community.

What Can you Bequest?

You can make a bequest to The Cairnmillar Institute in a variety of ways, including:

  • a specified sum of money
  • a nominated asset such as property or shares
  • a share or proportion of the balance (residue) of your estate.

Wording Your Bequest

It is important that your bequest is worded correctly.  The following is recommended as a guide. You may wish to give this wording to your legal practitioner preparing your will.

It is important when making or altering your will to remember to use our legal name – The Cairnmillar Institute.

For your assistance, it is suggested the following form of bequest be used when nominating The Cairnmillar Institute as a beneficiary of your will.

‘I give ___________    share/residue of my estate or the sum of $_______ to The Cairnmillar Institute of 993 Burke Road, Camberwell Victoria for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of The Cairnmillar Institute shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my trustee/s’
