Ms Margaret Karafilowska

MA(Couns) GradDip(Psych) Assoc MAPS
Ms Margaret Karafilowska is a registered psychologist with specialist training in working with individual adult clients and couples. In her clinical work she takes an integrative psychotherapeutic approach based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapy principles. Educated at Monash and RMIT Universities, as well as at the Cairnmillar Institute, she has developed an interest in working with older adults and the psychological issues associated with the ageing process through Cairnmillar’s Successful Ageing Growth and Enhancement (SAGE) program. She has also undertaken a major clinical research project into problem gambling. Margaret facilitates a number of personal and professional development courses offered at Cairnmillar.
