Associate Professor Jolyon GrimwadeClinical Psychologist, Associate Professor (Clinical Services) Associate Professor Grimwade has been a practicing clinical psychologist for nearly three decades and has been an academic for two decades. Jo has a broad range of interests in professional psychology and takes a very practical approach to his clinical work. Jo likes to focus on how factors such as trauma and grief from a person’s past relate to their current concerns. His PhD identified the complex factors that align when a person seeks mental health assistance with a child and how such factors continue to influence subsequent sessions. He has published six papers on his psychodynamic approach to family therapy. He has also published on the effects of parental substance use on families.
