This unit aims to develop students’ competence in culturally responsive conceptualisation, diagnosis and intervention in adult psychopathology. Students will acquire the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to assess, diagnose and treat mental disorders in adults, including severe manifestations. Each week diagnosis and treatment intervention for a different mental disorder, or group of disorders, will be addressed, including: psychotic, affective, anxiety, eating, substance, dissociative and somatic disorders, and mental health issues in older adults.
