Cairnmillar Institute seeks an exceptional, well-rounded General Manager to lead our internal functions at the Cairnmillar Institute. This key leadership position requires an individual with well established strategic and operational management skills, human resources best practice and preferably, though not necessarily, experience in an academic or health clinic environment. The ability to work effectively with others is essential for achieving the best outcomes for students, staff and clients.   

The person

The successful candidate will have:

  • A values-driven leadership style.
  • Experience in leadership and management of staff.
  • Varied experience across human resources functions (e.g. OHS, Recruitment, RTW learning and development etc).
  • Successful implementation of human resources initiatives.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Demonstrated financial literacy skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Qualifications in business, management, human resources or equivalent.
  • Experience in an academic or health work environment is desirable.
