Kelly is a clinical psychologist with over 27 years of practice experience.  Her main research interest follows from her clinical specialisation, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and she is currently completing a PhD in the area of risk management in BPD.  However other clinical research areas of interest include:  eating disorders, mindfulness and associated factors, and qualitative research into the experience of therapists, particularly working with complex cases.  Kelly is also the co-lead on a research project into understanding stress experienced by youth residential workers, currently involving a team of Cairnmillar academics and students.
