About Tanya

Tanya is passionate about the psychology of health and wellbeing across the lifespan. She works with individuals and couples to support their personal growth and help them to create more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Areas of work:

Tanya works with individuals and couples experiencing the following difficulties:

  • Ageing and end of life
  • Cancer and other chronic health conditions
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Fertility, infertility, miscarriage, and termination
  • Functional bowel disorders (such as IBS) and coeliac disease
  • Grief and loss
  • Parenting stress
  • Relationship issues

Treatment Approaches:

Tanya utilises the following approaches to treatment:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Narrative and life review therapies

Background and Experience

Tanya has experience working with adults of all ages in healthcare settings, and adopts a range of approaches to her psychological practice. She has co- authored two peer reviewed publications, and conducted research on parenting stress during her postgraduate psychology studies at the Cairnmillar Institute. She is currently undertaking the Health Psychology registrar programme.
