About

Kelly is a clinical psychologist with 30 years’ experience.  Her roles at Cairnmillar Institute include Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator of the Master of Professional Psychology program.  She specialises in the assessment and treatment of personality disorder and provides professional development nationally about working with borderline personality disorder.

She is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Deakin University and in partnership with Monash Health, in the area of risk management for borderline personality disorder.  Kelly co-leads the WAYS (Working Around Youth Worker Stress) research group at Cairnmillar, and supervises Honours and Masters thesis students in this area of interest, as well as other topics related to personality disorders, eating disorders, mindfulness, and clinician/therapist experience.  She has a particular interest in qualitative research.
