Cheryl has been practising as a Psychotherapist for over twenty years and has been involved in counselling and psychotherapy training programs for fifteen years. She has been supervising trainee, graduate and experienced Therapists and Counsellors for the past ten years. Cheryl holds a Master of Counselling & Human Services, a Graduate Diploma in Counselling Supervision, a Graduate Diploma in Family Therapy and has advanced training in Couples Counselling and Expressive Therapies.
Cheryl’s overall approach is humanistic and she draws from a number of modalities to work collaboratively with clients. She is passionate about Counsellor education programs and is keen to share her knowledge, experience and passion with students in the Graduate Diploma and Master of Psychotherapy programs.
Cheryl teaches Person Centred Counselling and Child and Family Counselling. She is an approved Supervisor with ACA, PACFA and ACSA.
Cheryl is an integrative Therapist who is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Expressive Therapies, Sandplay Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
