Clinical Expertise

Counselling with children, adolescents and adults regarding concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment and transition, relationship difficulties, trauma.
Parenting support and consultation around parenting and concerns for child’s well being.
Supervision with counsellors, provisional and early career Psychologists, Psychologists working towards endorsement in Educational Psychology and for ongoing professional development.
My preferred modality when working with clients is Emotion Focused Therapy. I am also undertaking training to be and Emotion Focused Therapy supervisor.

Treatment Approaches

Vivienne’s preferred therapeutic approach is Emotion Focused Therapy. She also incorporates Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Family therapy and a systemic perspective/approach when working with families. Vivienne also incorporates Art Therapy with clients who are interested and specifically Focusing Oriented Art Therapy, especially with children.

About

Vivienne has been a registered Psychologist since 1994. She is an accredited Emotion Focused Therapist who works with Children, adolescents, families and adults. Vivienne began her career as a psychologist working in primary and secondary schools for 17 years. In 2008 she opened her Private Practice in Carlton North and now in North Melbourne.
