About Terrence

The broad goal of most therapeutic work is to provide a forum for insight and understanding, and for the client to enhance their ability to lead a more satisfying and productive life. Terry's method begins with a collaborative process where achievable goals are arrived at. This client-centred style means that a therapeutic approach can be adopted that best suits each client's situation, experience and personal style. Terry's therapeutic process utilises rapport, support, validation, empathy, shared problem solving, and some challenge in order to help client's improve their situation, insight and coping abilities.

Terry has worked in forensic and clinical settings, as well as government, not-for-profit, university, hospital and private contexts. Terry prefers working with adults, couples or young people, and has experience in the areas of relationship / work difficulties and transitions, anxiety, family challenges, depression, trauma, men's issues, self harm, and substance use / addiction.
