Clinical Expertise
Elizabeth works within a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy framework, often drawing on other modalities including ACT, DBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and schema therapy. She has experience working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, chronic pain and other health issues, and grief and loss.
About
Elizabeth is a clinical psychologist and board approved supervisor and has worked across hospital, rehabilitation, forensic, and private settings since she completed her training in 2016.
In her clinical work, Elizabeth has a warm and compassionate therapeutic style, and strives to create a space that is accepting. She works collaboratively with her clients, is guided by her their strengths and goals, and enjoys incorporating humour and a practical approach. Elizabeth strives to meet the client where they are at, and work together on the thinking styles, beliefs and behaviours that are holding them back from living a more fulfilling life. She primarily works within a CBT framework, also drawing on Schema Therapy, DBT, ACT, and other modalities.
Elizabeth assists in teaching of postgraduate psychology students and has experience teaching ethics and treatment interventions.
