Individual Counselling

At the Cairnmillar Clinics, we offer psychological and counselling services to adults with a variety of presentations. We have clinicians who have special interests in a range of therapeutic approaches, covering a variety of areas and client groups. We believe it is important to match clients with clinicians and their areas of interest and find that this provides the best outcomes.

Some of the therapeutic modalities available are:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Psychodynamic Therapy/approach
  • Schema Therapy
  • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Mindfulness-based Therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Focused Therapy

A list of areas that our clinicians can help you with can be found on our Clinic page.

Services with registered clinicians can be accessed for a fee at our Dandenong, Hawthorn East and North Melbourne locations. See our Fees & Rebates page for more information.

Free counselling with student clinicians under supervision can be accessed through our Community Clinics, which operate at all of our locations. Please see our Community Clinic page for more details.
