Over the weekend, thousands of Australians who took to the streets last weekend to protest against violence towards women. In the wake of recent tragedies, it is clear that we must take action to support those affected and prevent further loss of life.
Lifeline, a national crisis support service, reported* a record number of calls, text, and webchat messages on Sunday, underscoring the importance of making help available to all who require it.
In response to this crisis, we would like to remind the public that The Cairnmillar Institute offers FREE counselling services to those affected by domestic violence and other mental health concerns. Our team of dedicated professionals are here to provide a safe, compassionate, and confidential environment for all who seek assistance.
Cairnmillar also offers various evidenced based programs on trauma informed care to help individuals, families and support workers to recognise, respond and support those affected by trauma and violence.
