Course Overview
Following many years of successful provision of supervision and supervision training – we are now able to offer free Master Class refresher training for registered psychologists until 2026.Â
This funding is provided by the Australian Federal Government, Department of Health and Aged Care in-line with meeting the aims to support and increase the capacity of the psychology workforce. Priority places will be given to psychologists supporting First Nations people, children and youth, those from CALD communities, and practitioners working in community mental health settings or regional, rural, and remote areas (located in MMM3-7).Â
Supervisors who successfully complete all three components of the training, will be invited to complete a quick post-training survey allowing us to gather workforce data on our funded training initiatives. Completion of this survey will receive a VISA gift card of $200.
About The Training
This is a one-day workshop suitable for Psychology Board of Australia-approved supervisors wishing to maintain their supervisor status, and seeking to update their supervisor skills. Suitable for those providing peer supervision to qualified psychologists and other mental health professionals and Higher Degree psychology students.Â
This workshop will be delivered by an experienced Board-approved trainer and will provide supervisors with an opportunity to reflect on their current practice and broaden their knowledge, skill and training in the area of supervision.
The workshop will include experiential exercises and involve a competency-based assessment. This course constitutes 6 hours of CPD.
Upon successful completion, participants must lodge AHPRA’s MBAS-76 form before the expiry date of their current approval. Failure to do so will result in a lapse of their Board Approved Supervisor status. Successful submission will maintain their status approval for another five years from the date they completed the training.
