About

A central focus of Aurelia’s practice is supporting clients to become more embodied and grounded, with increased interoceptive awareness and a stronger sense of self. She supports emotional awareness and regulation, helping clients understand habitual patterns, their origins, and how these continue to shape wellbeing in the present. This work is informed by careful attention to personal history, relational dynamics, and cultural meaning systems, supporting compassionate understanding rather than judgement.
Relationally, Aurelia supports individuals to build and sustain meaningful relationships, deepen connection, and become more present with others, while exploring what may get in the way of trust, intimacy, or authenticity across different cultural and relational contexts.
At the heart of Aurelia’s work is a commitment to supporting clients to cultivate self-awareness, wise self-compassion, and the courage and vitality to engage with life authentically.
She is also an Industry Fellow at Monash University, where she teaches leadership for sustainability, reflecting her long-standing commitment to ethical leadership.
For over thirty years, Aurelia worked in the international humanitarian and development sector across more than fifty countries, including extended periods in low-resource and crisis-affected settings. Her work involved close collaboration with communities and their leaders, local civil society actors, and government agencies, shaping a culturally responsive and context-aware therapeutic approach.
Aurelia is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Victorian Association of Gestalt Practitioners, where she serves as Treasurer and contributes to the development of an accreditation programme for Gestalt therapists. She has served on the Board of Monash Health since 2018 and was previously a member of the Australian Red Cross Victoria Advisory Committee.
