About

Catherine is Counselling and Clinical Psychologist in private practice who divides her time between working with adults with complex mental health presentations and providing supervision for early to mid-career psychologists. Catherine has recently returned to academia in the form of a part-time position as a senior lecturer in the post-graduate training of psychologists. Catherine has previously works a senior lecturer at Curtin University, teaching and supervising students in the MPsych(Counselling) and MPP pathways to registration. Catherine is currently the Chair Elect for the APS College of Counselling Psychology and has previous held positions as Secretary and WA Section Chair on the National Executive for the College, and Chair and Secretary positions in the Association of Counselling Psychologists. Her professional interests lie in working with clients with Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Trauma and Personality Disorders. Catherine incorporates a range of therapeutic interventions including Schema Therapy, DBT, EMDR and Psychodynamic approaches, with an overarching focus on the cultivation of the therapeutic relationship as the avenue through which change develops.
