Dr Melissa Hayden

Dr Melissa Hayden is an expert in health and cognitive psychology, with nearly two decades of experience spanning academic leadership, teaching, and applied research. Her work focuses on understanding behaviour change and health literacy to inform evidence-based interventions, supported by a strong publication record and leadership of high-profile interdisciplinary projects such as the Baby Brain Research Project.

Dr Hayden has led APAC-accredited bachelor and fourth-year psychology programs and brings extensive experience supervising over 50 Honours, multiple Master’s, and PhD students to completion. She designs and delivers coursework with a strong emphasis on inclusive, student-centred learning, incorporating blended delivery and interactive technologies to enhance engagement and accessibility.
