Clinical Expertise

Georgina has clinical experience working with children, teenagers, families and adults, with a variety of presentations including anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, eating disorders, schizoaffective disorders, OCD, and challenges surrounding sexuality and gender identity. Georgina is a person-centred practitioner who works to tailor support and interventions specifically to the individual.

Treatment Approaches

Georgina has a special interest in ADHD, gender identity and sexuality, disordered eating, anxiety and burnout. Adapts practise to suit the individual, using multiple therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

About

Georgina is particularly interested in supporting those with disordered eating and ADHD, having conducted research in these areas. She is a strong advocate for mental health education in schools and workplaces; she worked with the Black Dog Institute as a presenter for a number of years and has spoken on a number of panels and to various media outlets (including the AFL Pride Panel, The Australian and The Daily Telegraph) about depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and general youth mental health.
Georgina has a vested interest in improving understanding of neurodivergence in women, and is such currently completing her Masters thesis on the lived experience of adult women with ADHD.
Georgina is also interested in the intersectionality between gender and disordered eating, having completed her Honours thesis on the impact of Muscle-Oriented Disordered Eating on men’s mental health.
