Matthew is a registered psychologist who takes an integrated approach to his counselling, and as a result, each client’s experience of counselling is unique and tailored to their specific needs and situation. Matthew incorporates various evidence-based therapy styles into his practice, specifically CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). He places a high priority on creating a non-judgemental therapeutic space and strives to uphold professionalism and honesty in his work.
Matthew has worked with individuals from a wide variety of ages (16-65) and backgrounds. He has experience with numerous presentations, concerns, and psychological difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, stress management, and emotional regulation. Matthew has experience working in both community and private practice.
Matthew believes it is important to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients, and to provide a space where they feel comfortable, supported, and understood.
