About

Yasser has recently completed his PhD at Deakin University and is now a lecturer and researcher at the Cairnmillar Institute. His research focuses on understanding what motivates people with chronic conditions to engage in behaviors such as exercise, healthy eating, medication adherence, and the use of emotion regulation strategies, all of which are essential for managing their condition. He is interested in quantitative approaches, including cross-sectional, longitudinal, and ecological momentary assessment, to study motivation for self-care behaviors.
