Treatment Approaches

She approaches therapy with curiosity, warmth, and openness to the complexity of each person’s way of being. She values creating a therapeutic space where people feel understood and safe enough to explore experiences that may be difficult to make sense of or put into words. Yixia particularly enjoys helping people understand themselves more deeply, develop a greater sense of agency in their lives, and discover possibilities that may previously have felt out of reach. Yixia takes an integrative and formulation-driven approach to therapy that is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. Her work draws on:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Schema Therapy (ST)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
