The Cairnmillar Institute is a not-for-profit higher education provider dedicated to providing high quality and
accessible psychological services, research and innovative professional education. Operating for over 60
years, we take pride in our strong reputation with the community, students, industry and accrediting bodies, as
well as our ability to respond quickly to changing community needs. We deliver a full range of courses from
undergraduate to PhD level, including accredited postgraduate courses in psychology, counselling and
psychotherapy.


We are seeking an academic to work collaboratively with our Head of School to lead a culture of high
performance and inspire staff to deliver the highest standards of student experience and achieve excellence in
teaching, learning and scholarship. In conjunction with contributing to teaching and research, you will play a
significant role in the smooth operation of the School in a number of ways including course development,
continuous improvement, accreditation and compliance activities.


The ideal candidate will be well established in the field of psychology, counselling or psychotherapy, with a
strong national research profile, and experience in academic governance, policies and processes, and
accreditation. You will be outcomes-focused and a competent change manager.
